Riley, King Target Gambling Loopholes

By Alabama Public Radio

Montgomery, AL – Governor Bob Riley and Attorney General Troy King believe gambling interests are taking advantage of loopholes in Alabama law. Riley and King are planning to announce new proposals today they say will close those loopholes and tighten the state's gambling statutes. They'll hold a news conference at 11 o'clock this morning just outside of the governor's press office in the state Capitol building. They also say they'll submit their proposals to the legislature this week.
