Tuscaloosa, AL – Chapman's Chapel in the tiny community of Glencoe, Alabama was slightly damaged early yesterday morning after someone threw a Molitov cocktail against the outside of the building.
The church is small and located in a rural area ... just like ten other churches that are now part of a massive state and federal arson investigation. But Jim Cavanaugh, a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms says the circumstances of that fire are not consistent with the other fires, and authorities don't believe it is connected. However, two other recent fires ... one on Friday at the Wesley Foundation Methodist Center at the University of Alabama, and another Saturday at a warehouse in Tuscaloosa that distributes Christian themed clothing ... are still under investigation. Cavanaugh says it's too early to say whether those fires are related.
