Warehouse Fire Deemed Accidental

By Alabama Public Radio

Tuscaloosa, AL – The state fire marshal's office says the Tuscaloosa warehouse fire from this past weekend apparently was accidental. Assistant state fire marshal Ed Paulk says a heater was placed too close to flammable material. The Multi Marketing warehouse contained Christian apparel, and there were concerns the fire may have been related to the recent church arsons. And related to that continuing investigation, new federal agents are being brought in to continue searching for evidence and conducting interviews. Agents say they have checked out about 700 leads.
