Montgomery, AL – There's an update on the story of a Yemeni man who was executed for killing three missionaries in 2002. One of them was Doctor Martha Myers of Montgomery. She was an obstetrician and a surgeon who was doing medical missions work in Yemen. She and two others were killed in December 2002 when the man fired upon the workers during a meeting. Now, her father says Martha would not have wanted her killer to be executed. Doctor Ira Myers is a former Alabama state Health Officer. He says his daughter would have wanted the man to live so he could have had a chance to know God. The man was executed by firing squad at one of Yemen's prisons.
