Washington DC – US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld says the United States will not be able to meet a deadline for disposing of the country's chemical weapons. Tons of those weapons are being stored and incinerated at the Anniston Chemical Weapons Disposal Facility. The U-S is trying to fulfill its part of an international treaty to dispose of its weapon stockpiles in a timely manner. But Rumsfeld recently wrote a letter to the House and Senate Armed Services committees, saying he expects only two-thirds of the stockpile will be destroyed by 20-12.
