Mobile, AL – Republican attorney general candidate Mark Montiel is suing Attorney General Troy King. Montiel says King received illegal corporate campaign contributions that were funneled through a political action committee. A hearing is scheduled for Friday in Mobile County, where the suit was filed. King says the 100-thousand dollars in campaign contributions were legal and the suit is frivolous. King and Montiel will meet in the Republican primary on June 6th. One of them will later face the winner of the Democratic primary between Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Junior and Montgomery attorney Larry Darby.
