Gas Prices Drop Again

By Associated Press

Birmingham, AL – Gasoline prices are still falling in Alabama.

AAA Alabama reports the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded fell one cent overnight and 36 cents in the past month to $3.54 a gallon.

But that's still 93 cents higher than this time last year.

The national average is $3.68 a gallon for regular.

The auto club said midgrade was $3.70 while premium costs $3.80 a gallon. Diesel was down less than a penny overnight to $4.17.

AAA says prices might fall as much as 20 cents by mid-September, but the big question mark is whether prices will reduce Labor Day travel the way they apparently did for Memorial Day and Independence Day.
