Enterprise, AL – A possible tornado has hit the city of Enterprise, damaging the civic center and downing trees and power lines.
Meteorologists said it was still unclear exactly what blew through the city Wednesday as a storm rolled across southeast Alabama.
Kelly Godsey with the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Fla. said Alabama Emergency Management Agency crews were on the scene and assessing the damage.
Enterprise police Capt. Michael Lolley said falling tree limbs damaged roofs in the area and a number of people were out of power but there were no reports of injuries or major structural damage.
Tornado watches and warnings were in effect in surrounding areas.
