Montgomery, AL – Montgomery Marketing Inc. said it has been awarded a five year contract by the U.S. Defense Department to manufacture pop-up Bed Nets.
MMI said Monday the contract is worth $25 million.
The Bed Net is a tent-like structure used to ward off insects.
The company said its tents are treated with permethrin, a synthetic chemical used as an insecticide and insect repellant.
MMI said its Catoma brand tents have been used by USDA forest firefighters and U.S. military special forces since 1993.
