Montgomery, AL – Students at Alabama's community colleges should soon be able to transfer their credits to independent four-year schools in the state.
The Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education are scheduled to formalize their agreement on Wednesday.
The agreement includes every independent, fully accredited, non-profit four-year college in the state. Two-year students can already transfer credits for course work to state public universities.
