Bentley Moves Gov. Campaign Out Of Pate Building

Tuscaloosa, AL – Tuscaloosa real estate developer Stan Pate says political differences between him and Republican gubernatorial nominee Robert Bentley caused him to tell Bentley to move his campaign headquarters from one of Pate's buildings.

Bentley's campaign says the move was prompted by a need for more space for a growing number of volunteers.

Pate, a major campaign contributor who is an outspoken critic of Republican Gov. Bob Riley, had been supplying office space in Tuscaloosa for Bentley's campaign.

The disagreement between Pate and Bentley stems from Pate's claim that Riley had made an improper offer to Bentley. Bentley has disputed that any offer was ever made.
