Tuscaloosa, Alabama – In 2011, the Alabama Public Radio news team covered stories ranging from the Tuscaloosa tornado which killed over fifty residents, the long-term impact of the Gulf oil spill on the first anniversary of the disaster, the controversial Alabama immigration law, local reaction to the Martin Luther King memorial in Washington, D.C., to lighter stories such as a visit to the State's coondog cemetery, and Alabama's first State Capitol, which is said to be haunted.
