About Olivia:
Olivia MacKinnon was born in Mobile, Alabama and is a ballerina with the New York City Ballet (NYCB). Olivia trained under the directorship of Winthrop Corey and Pamela Thompson and then went on to train at the School of American Ballet, the official school of NYCB. At the age of 17, she joined NYCB, performing and touring around the world including: Denmark, (Performing for Queen Margaret), France, Japan, China, Greece, West Indies and various cities throughout the United States.
During the summers of 2008 and 2009, Ms. MacKinnon attended the summer sessions at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, and enrolled as a full-time student in fall of 2010.
Ms. MacKinnon became an apprentice with NYCB in November 2012 and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in October 2013. She was promoted to soloist in April 2023.
As a professional ballerina and choreographer, she has created works for New York City Fashion Week and the House of Doyenne. Olivia teaches both ballet and fitness classes for students all over the world. As an actress she made her screen debut in John Wick Parabellum along with appearances in several documentaries. She has represented and collaborated with Elle Decor, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) PUMA, Rebecca Minkoff, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Tiffany and Co.
