Spring BCA & DIBS Bird Banding Event Dauphin Island
The Banding Coalition of the Americas (BCA) and Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuaries (DIBS) will host their annual spring bird banding event on Dauphin Island, AL on April 6-10th, 2024. The family-friendly event is from 8 am - 2pm each day and located across from the Goat Tree Reserve at 700 Cadillac Avenue. Parking and restrooms are available at Cadillac Square Park at 661 Bienville Blvd. Then follow directional signs on foot, to the banding event across the street. Come out and enjoy learning about and taking photos of birds while they are banded for research, then released.
Things to keep in mind when visiting the station:
--Remember to bring bug spray, sunscreen, water/snacks, and chairs (if you plan to stay awhile). Closed toe shoes are recommended.

--Bring your friends and family, but please leave pets at home.

--There is no entry fee/toll to enter Dauphin Island. This event is open to the public and free to attend, but donations are welcome by both non-profit organizations.
