USA’s Secret Shakespeare Society Presents: The Zoo Story

USA’s Secret Shakespeare Society Presents: The Zoo Story

For One Night Only Join the USA’s Secret Shakespeare Society as they present: The Zoo Story!

Directed by Claire Rockwell with Assistant Director Nick González who are Senior University of South Alabama Students.

The Zoo Story is Edward Albee’s first play bearing strong features of the Absurd theatre. The play follows a conversation between Jerry and Peter on a park bench and explores themes of isolation, loneliness, miscommunication as anathematization, social disparity and dehumanization in a materialistic world.

Albee would often say, “One must let the play happen to one; one must let the mind loose to respond as it will, to receive impressions, to sense rather than know, to gather rather than immediately understand.”

Admission is $5 or you can donate 5 pantry items to the Jag Pantry!
