Twin Tornadoes in west central Alabama cause damage, injuries...

Twitter

It will likely be Wednesday morning before complete damage reports can be made from rough weather that hit parts of west central Alabama. A pair of tornadoes and straight line winds reportedly damaged homes, tore down trees and power lines, and caused injuries. Police in Aliceville told reporters that the federal correctional facility there suffered significant damage, with administrative buildings reported in “bad shape.” Weather radar showed a twister moving from Reform to Belk to Fayette, prompting tornado warnings from the National Weather Service, with pleas for residents to seek shelter. Witnesses in Carrollton tweeted reports and photographs of damage along Robison Ridge road.
