Police recruits in Gulf Shores faced an interview board that included Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman last week.

Freeman, who is known for starring in a multitude of films including ‘Million Dollar Baby’ and ‘Invictus’, joined a seven-member panel that interviewed nine potential officers for the Gulf Shores Police Department.

Freeman is a Mississippi resident, but owns property in Gulf Shores. He reportedly volunteered to help with the panel and was an active participant.

The panel also included the police chief and a criminal justice professor.
