Schools Closed or Delaying Opening Because of Stormy Weather

Alabama – A number of school systems will delay opening today or will be closed because of stormy weather. Here's a list from the Associated Press:

Lawrence County Schools - Closed today

DeKalb County Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Jackson County Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Fort Payne City Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Albertville City Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Marshall County Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Arab City Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Morgan County Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Chambers County Schools - Closed today

Coosa County Schools - Closed today

Alexander City Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Dallas County Schools - Delayed opening until 8:45 a.m.

Tallapoosa County Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Attalla City Schools - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Central Alabama Community College - Delayed opening until 10 a.m.

Sylacauga City Schools, Talladega City Schools and Talladega County School will delay opening by 1 hour.
