Art Educators Perspective

Art Educators Perspective

The Conde-Charlotte Museum is proud to host Art Educators Perspective, an exhibition of artworks by Mobile and Baldwin County art educators. The exhibition will pay homage to educator artists’ own talents and inspiration. Twenty works will be displayed throughout our museum, in addition to our regular tour. Over the course of the exhibition works will be rotated to honor as many of our community’s art educators as possible.

Art Educators Perspective will begin with an opening reception at 5 p.m. September 8, 2023, prior to LoDa Artwalk, and end November 4, 2023.

The Alabama Art Education Association consists of professional art educators dedicated to providing quality art education to students in both public and private schools, and embracing the philosophy that an education in the arts stimulates personal creativity and intellectual growth in all areas.

Near the banks of the Mobile River, the Condé-Charlotte Museum began its life as Mobile’s first courthouse and jail, eventually becoming the beloved home of the Kirkbride family. Through its preservation efforts, The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in The State of Alabama furnished the museum house with period antiques reflecting Mobile’s history under five flags: French, English, Spanish, Confederate, and American.
