Lurleen B. Wallace (LBW) Community College will showcase the creativity and talent of its students during the 2026 Student Art Exhibition, a dynamic display featuring a variety of artistic mediums.
The exhibition will include an impressive collection of cardboard sculptures, pastel drawings, creative lamps, and graphite works, offering visitors a rich and engaging artistic experience. This year’s show promises a unique blend of styles and materials, highlighting the versatility and innovation of LBW’s student artists.
“We will have mobiles this year,” said Misti Purvis, adding an extra element of motion and creativity to the exhibit.
The student art show will be open to the community from April 16 through April 30, with viewing hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The exhibition will be held in the William H. McWhorter Learning Resource Center on the Andalusia campus.
A student reception will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for attendees to meet the artists and celebrate their work.
Community members are encouraged to attend and support the arts while experiencing the diverse talents of LBW students.
