Troy University names George Beaudry as new police chief

TROY, Ala. (AP) — Troy University has a new chief leading its campus police department.

The Montgomery Advertiser reports with more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Capt. George Beaudry assumed command of the department Thursday.

Beaudry replaces John McCall, who was fired in June over social media comments relating to the death of George Floyd.
