Alabama trying to revive lawsuit over Confederate monument

Change.org

Attorney General Steve Marshall's office is trying to revive a lawsuit over the removal of a Confederate monument.

Someone anonymously paid the $25,000 fine after the monument was removed from outside the Madison County courthouse in Huntsville. The state claims that the case should not have been dismissed by a judge and that the fine should be paid by the county itself.

A hearing is scheduled for Friday for a judge to listen to the state's bid to reinstate the lawsuit.
