Alabama judge booted for racist, inappropriate behavior

nazret

A Talladega judge who oversees county elections has been removed from office after being accused of racist and sexually inappropriate behavior.

Randy Jinks served as the county probate judge in Talladega before he was unanimously ousted by the nine-member Alabama Court of the Judiciary on Friday. The panel held a trial during which they found Jinks violated five judicial ethics rules including failing to uphold the integrity and independence of the court system.

Complaints against Jinks said he watched and shared sexually inappropriate videos as well as saying George Floyd "got what he deserved" when he was killed by a police officer in Minnesota.
