Alabama’s newest concert venue just announced the lineup for its first ever concert. The Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville will open in May with a three day show series called “The First Waltz.” The concerts will be a tribute to North Alabama’s rich musical history.

Jason Isbell will play opening night with Emmylou Harris and Waxahatchee on Friday, May 13, 2022. Brittany Howard will perform with St. Paul and the Broken Bones that Saturday. Huntsville-based acts like the Aeolians of Oakwood University and Kelvin Wooten will play on Sunday, May 15.

Tickets for “The First Waltz” go on sale this Friday, November 19. Single-day and three-day passes are available.
