Daniel Black

Daniel Black is the Chief Operator & Broadcast Engineer for APR. He ensures that the final product you hear through your speaker sounds good, and that all five transmitter sites across the state are Federal Communications Commission compliant and remain on the air, with the utmost reliability. His 20+ years in broadcasting have remained in Alabama, with most of those years being spent as Technical Director for most of the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area television stations, directing numerous award-winning live news and sports specials. When he’s not elbows deep in a radio transmitter replacing parts or in the studio adjusting mic levels, you can find him spending time with his family outdoors, watching Alabama football, and riding the back roads. He never rests. Ever.
