Tuscaloosa, AL – City officials in Tuscaloosa will hold their second public meeting tonight regarding plans to redevelop the city's downtown area.
City officials are forming plans to demolish several blocks in the downtown area and build a new federal complex. The plans are still in the early stages, and an environmental assessment of the area is now being conducted.
Residents can get an update on the effort at a public meeting this evening. The meeting begins at 6 o-clock at the First Baptist Church Children's Center downtown.
