Anniston, AL – The Alabama Department of Environmental Management has cited the Anniston Army Depot's chemical weapons incinerator for regulatory violations. Incinerator site manager Timothy Garrett says the violations do not affect the public. He says they are "primarily administrative," and he and other managers will review and improve incinerator procedures. The Army has 30 days to officially respond to ADEM. The Army is using the incinerator to destroy about 22-hundred tons of chemical weapons that are stored at the Depot.
