Birmingham, AL – Two Birmingham police officers were remembered Monday as hundreds of mourners attended their funerals. Birmingham Police Officer Charles Robert Bennett was memorialized during a service in Gardendale. Officers from across Alabama and neighboring states attended. The funeral for Officer Carlos Owen was held at Clear Branch United Methodist Church. Both men and a third officer were killed Thursday while trying to deliver a warrant in an Ensley neighborhood. The funeral for Officer Harley Chisholm the Third is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock at First Baptist Church of Moody.
