Mobile, AL – New Year's fireworks on the Mobile River will return this year after a two-year absence. The celebration begins at 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve at Cooper Riverside Park between the convention center and the cruise ship terminal. City officials say the free event will feature the area band Emerge. Fireworks begin at midnight at a location across Mobile River. The fireworks display is expected to last about 25 minutes.
