Macon, GA – Dozens of athletes and politicians were among the crowd of about 1,900 at the funeral for a former Troy University football standout. Los Angeles Avengers player Al Lucas died April 10 during an Arena Football League game. Jesse Jackson and several Georgia state politicians were on hand to remember Lucas at Monday's service in Macon, Georgia. Lucas' father is Georgia State Representative David Lucas. The 6'1", 300 lb. lineman was known as "Big Luke." He died on the field after trying to tackle a New York Dragons kick returner.
