Will Scrushy Return to HealthSouth?

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – Now that former HealthSouth C-E-O Richard Scrushy no longer faces criminal fraud charges, there has been speculation that he may try to return to the company he founded. Scrushy himself has indicted he may try to return as the company C-E-O or at least ask the company to pay his multi-million dollar legal bills. But the company's new leadership isn't interested. They say Scrushy was properly removed from his position in 2003, and he is not welcome back. Scrushy also is facing negative sentiment from HealthSouth stockholders. He's named in at least 61 other federal lawsuits concerning the company's massive financial fraud.
