More Questions Arise in Aruba Disappearance

By Alabama Public Radio

Palm Beach, Aruba – Aruba's attorney general says the father of a Dutch teenager arrested in the case told his son and his two friends that when there is no body you don't have a case. Paul van der Sloot is a judge in training in Aruba. He apparently gave his 17-year-old son Joran and two Surinamese brothers legal advice the day after the 18-year-old disappeared. District Attorney Caren Janssen says the elder van der Sloot had obstructed the investigation by asking a friend of Joran, who had been interrogated by police, what he had told them. The 52-year-old was arrested and released Sunday when a judge ruled there wasn't enough evidence to hold him. Janssen also says the father was arrested because investigators believed he was also a suspect in the disappearance. She says investigators have not found anything concrete to suggest that Natalee Holloway is dead.
