Muscle Shoals, AL – North American Lighting, which will produce tail lamps for automobiles, plans to construct a 200-thousand square foot factory in industrial park next to Northwest Alabama Regional Airport. North American Lighting is expected to start operations in June 2007 and produce 1-point-8 million lamps a year by 2010. Riley says North American Lighting is the second new major industry for Muscle Shoals announced in the last 16 months. He joined officials from Walgreens Health Initiative in August 2004 to announce the location of a customer contact center, a project expected to create up to 500 new jobs in two years.
