Judge Announces Plans for Civil Appeals Court

By Alabama Public Radio

Montgomery, AL – Autauga County District Judge Phillip Wood announced Tuesday he's campaigning for the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. Wood has been a district judge for 22 years, and he says he's seeking the seat being vacated by Glenn Murdock. Wood is the second Republican to announce his plans to campaign for that spot. Cullman County District Judge Terri Willingham Thomas also is running for the position. So far, no Democrats have announced plans to pursue the Civil Appeals Court seat.
