Moore Qualifies to Run for Governor

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – Moore also urged his political party not to ban crossover voting in any Republican runoff. The party's steering committee has recommended the State Republican Executive Committee vote Saturday to change party rules so that people who vote in the Democratic primary on June sixth can't vote in the Republican runoff on June 27th. Moore says it an attempt to interfere with the election and restrict voters. Party Chairman Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh says the proposed rule change is not aimed at any candidate. She says it's designed to keep Democratic leaders from encouraging Democrats to vote as a bloc in the Republican runoff to skew the outcome.
