Cedar Bluff Mayor Resigns

By Alabama Public Radio

Cedar Bluff, AL – Donald Sanders had served as mayor since May, when Bob Davis resigned as investigators reviewed operations in the town. Davis died of a heart attack in June. Sanders says his work as mayor was interfering with his job at Cherokee Electric Cooperative. The 57 year old, who had served on the City Council since 1999, says he is not under investigation. The council will appoint an acting mayor.
