Florence, AL – Some areas in north Alabama are experiencing flooding after heavy weekend rains. Lauderdale County E-M-A director George Graybryan says at least 25 roads in the area have been closed. He's encouraging motorists to "turn around, and don't drown." There has also been minor flooding in parts of north Florence, and emergency officials expect some areas in the southern part of the city to see some minor flooding, as well. Flooding is also widespread across many rural areas of Lauderdale County, where a flood warning is in effect Monday. Waters are expected to begin receding soon.
