Mask Wins House 31 Special Primary Election

By Alabama Public Radio

Wetumpka, AL – The Alabama House of Representatives seat was vacated when Venable died in November after a long battle with leukemia. Mask says he's humbled by the victory and is getting ready to campaign again for the second phase. Venable represented District 31 for 31 years in the Capitol. The district covers portions of Elmore and Coosa counties. Mask will run against Tallassee Mayor Bobby Payne in the general election on February 28th.
