Orange Beach, AL – Orange Beach has a new mayor. The city council called a special meeting Thursday night and picked council member Pete Blalock to take the city's helm. Former Mayor Steve Russo resigned Wednesday. He's been indicted on state and federal corruption charges. Blalock will serve the three years remaining on Russo's term. Orange Beach's mayor is a part-time position that pays 25-thousand dollars a year.
