Auburn, AL – Auburn University's board of trustees was worried a new report could be embarrassing for them. The report is supposed to be released today, and it contains some observations that may be difficult for the board to handle. It says trustees have too much authority over Auburn University. The board has weakened the school's presidency and has created an anxious and unhappy community. The report also suggests the board should immediately revamp its bylaws to avoid micromanagement and conflict of interest issues. The report also recommends dramatically changing the trustee appointment process.
