Montgomery, AL – 2005 was a record-setting fundraising year for Governor Bob Riley. Financial statements show his re-election campaign brought in three-point-eight million dollars. That's the most ever for a gubernatorial election campaign. And, it's more than twice as much than the three other major gubernatorial candidates combined. Lieutenant Governor Lucy Baxley reported one-point-two million dollars in contributions. Former Chief Justice Roy Moore received a little more than 310 thousand dollars in contributions and a 500 thousand dollar loan. Former Governor Don Siegelman reported 105 thousand dollars in contributions and a 300 thousand dollar loan.
