BCA Endorses Candidates

By Alabama Public Radio

Montgomery, AL – The Business Council of Alabama has announced its endorsements for this election year. And it appears the incumbents have the advantage. The council is supporting Governor Bob Riley's re-election campaign. The Council has endorsed incumbent Attorney General Troy King for his first campaign for that office. The Council also has chosen incumbent Kay Ivey for state treasurer and incumbent Drayton Nabers for chief justice. In the lieutenant governor's race, though, there is no incumbent seeking re-election. The Business Council is giving its support to Birmingham attorney Luther Strange for that race.
