Montgomery, AL – The four men charged in a corruption case will be tried together. U-S District Judge Mark Fuller ruled Thursday the trials of former Governor Don Siegelman and former HealthSouth C-E-O Richard Scrushy will not be separated. Scrushy had asked the judge to split the trials. So did former state Transportation Director Mack Roberts. But the judge rejected their requests. Fuller has scheduled the trial for May first in Montgomery. Scrushy, Roberts, Siegelman and his former chief of staff, Paul Hamrick have been indicted on government corruption charges.
