Montgomery, AL – Montgomery County Circuit Judge William Shashy announced today his intention to run for for the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. Shashy is a Republican, and says he will seek one of the two open seats on the appeals court. He expects to decide which one within the next two weeks. Shashy has spent ten years as a circuit judge and handled a number of high profile cases, including the long-running litigation related to Alabama's overcrowded prisons and county jails.
