Montgomery, AL – The Alabama House gave final legislative approval to a proposal that would make it a felony to expose children to the process of making methamphetamines. The bill now goes to Governor Bob Riley for his consideration. Senate President Pro Tem Lowell Barron sponsors the legislation. He says it's common for police officers to find young children at home when officers raid laboratories where meth is being made. Barron says children who are found inside meth labs are often turned over to the custody of the state Department of Human Resources.
