Talladega, AL – Talladega County District Judge Tommy Dobson has been suspended for two months without pay. He allowed one of his assistants to decide about 25-hundred cases without Dobson's oversight. Dobson has admitted he was wrong to let attorney Jack Swinford decide the cases. Court records show Swinford signed arrest warrants, child support agreements and wage garnishment orders. Seven people were released from jail because they were sent there without proper court orders. Supreme Court Chief Justice Drayton Nabers had already removed Dobson of his judicial duties, but Dobson had continued drawing his 134-thousand dollar salary.
