Tuscaloosa, AL – The American Cancer Society and the D-C-H Regional Medical System's cancer treatment center will meet with Tuscaloosa city officials this afternoon. They'll talk about banning smoking in the city's restaurants and bars. Birmingham, Montgomery and Huntsville have already passed similar measures, as have other cities across the country. Tuscaloosa's leaders met with both groups a couple of years ago to talk about the same thing, but nothing ever happened. There's now new leadership in the city, and the American Cancer Society and the D-C-H Regional Medical System wanted to discuss the issue again.
