Elmore County, AL – State health officials are investigating a possible case of food poisoning at Draper Correctional Facility in Elmore County. Since Thursday, about 60-percent of the facility's inmates have developed flu-like symptoms, including a number of inmates complaining of stomach ailments. The affected prisoners are being treated and monitored. Meanwhile, the Department of Public Health is conducting an inspection of the kitchen and also analyzing the meal that was served. Draper Correctional Facility is a medium security prison with a population of more than 12-hundred.
