Oxford, AL – Oxford High School's marching band will visit New York next Thursday to prepare for its performance in the city's Saint Patrick's Day parade. The Yellow Jacket Marching Band will march down New York City's Fifth Avenue on March 17th. They'll play "Alabamy Bound" and "Alabama Jubilee." The band will come home March 20th. Band director Chris Pennington gave the group some practice by walking around the perimeter of the Talladega Superspeedway. By the way, about 60 parents also will go on the trip to serve as chaperones.
