Bad Weather Expected Thursday

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – Weather forecasters say conditions could deteriorate significantly by Thursday afternoon. Severe thunderstorms are expected to plague the state by then. The National Weather Service reports strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, and there's a chance for isolated tornados. Damaging straight line winds also could be a problem as a squall line approaches the state. Winds could gust up to 45 miles per hour. Forecasters say the National Weather Service may issue a wind advisory Thursday morning.
